In a past life (ok, it was just this spring), I worked retail as an Assistant Manager over the kids department. One day, as I was helping out at the registers, the sweetest woman walks up with her two adorable children! Her name was Arianne and her kindness was a breath of fresh air!
She was probably the nicest person I’d encountered that month and I instantly clicked with her kids. At the end of the transaction, I couldn’t help but ask her if she had someone for family pictures. She told me they’d just moved to the area and hadn’t found anyone yet, so I flipped the receipt over, wrote my Instagram handle down and told her how much I’d love to work with them!
Six months later, the leaves had started to turn and it was time for family photos!
I didn’t give out my information to more than a couple people while working in retail (since that wasn’t exactly what I was there for), but if I clicked with someone, I figured it couldn’t hurt. I’m so glad I took a chance because working with Arianne, Ben and their adventurous children was the best way to kick off fall family sessions <3
