If you’d asked me when I was little what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’d probably have said a NASA scientist or a racecar driver. But my mom’s favorite story to tell anyone who would listen was about a camping trip when I took an artsy photo of wild turkeys from under a picnic table. Let’s be honest...the photo probably wasn’t anything special. But from the moment I discovered her 35mm film camera, she always encouraged me to pursue the art of photography. She even enrolled me in photography classes when I was 10! Her unwavering encouragement and support inspired me to study photography in college and, eventually, helped me embrace my lifelong calling to become a professional photographer.

Today, I delight families and couples across Michigan with photography that is sophisticated and sincere. Inspired by film, I celebrate natural tones and brilliant light. But most of all, I pass on the family love that persuaded me to confidently chase my dreams. Whether we are strolling through a field with your littles or huddled together with your mom and grandma in your venue’s bridal room, I promise to shower your family with the same love and care I’d give my own. I believe the best family heirlooms are created when your entire family is feeling cherished. So, that’s my central goal!

When I’m not exploring Michigan with amazing families or photographing wedding days, you can probably spot me headed off on an adventure with my husband! We love searching out new restaurants and hanging out with childhood friends, and my week would be incomplete without at least one yoga class! I also love any chance to see a musical or live music, which is really no surprise since I’m the child of two people who met in their church choir! But sometimes, your girl just needs to snuggle down for a little Netflix quiet time.

But enough about me! We can get to know each other even more as the adventure continues! For now, go ahead and pause that episode of the Crown (or your favorite episode of Gossip Girl) and send an inquiry my way! I can’t wait to meet you and document a page of your family history!
