I’ve known Kait her whole life and when she got engaged in 2021, she didn’t even hesitate to ask me to photographer her big day in 2023! As an aspiring photographer herself, she’s tagged along to many weddings around Michigan and was excited to finally be on the other side of the camera.
Then she found out she was pregnant and due exactly one year before their wedding date!
After a few months of wedding stress and planning for their new baby, they decided to elope… Kind of…
June 25, 2022 she and her fiance, Damian, tied the knot and spent the night celebrating in her grandma’s backyard. Sadly, I was booked for another wedding that day, so later in the week, we met up at the same park her grandparents got married at decades ago!
Frances Park is nestled in the historic neighborhood of Lansing, Michigan on Moorse River Drive. It features views of the Grand River, a nationally recognized rose garden and a playplace for the kids. My favorite part is all the mature trees that provide the perfect amount of shade on a hot summer day.
In some ways, I see Kait as a little sister and love her new husband just as much! I can’t wait to meet their little princess, Leia!
